Zac Brown Band – Colder Weather

I must say that Zac Brown Band has become one of my favorite bands over the last year.  I remember thoroughly enjoying ZBB’s first single Chicken Fried early last year.  At the time, the band failed to garner much more interest from me, but I kept the name in the back of my mind.

As time went on, I continued listening to some more of their music and decided I would check them out in concert with a good friend.  I am very glad I decided to attend the concert.  During the show, the band cut out into a ballad called “Colder Weather.”  This track is an amazing song describing a relationship attempting to endure the struggles of lond distance and the troubles that come along with those issues.

After the show, I spent days trying to find a good quality version of the song because this song has not yet been released by the band.  After about a month of searching I found a decent version on youtube.  I have included it below – enjoy.

Classic Games.

Last year, I started a list of 75 things I wanted to do before I died.  Unfortunately, I havent had time to really work on those, but I anticipate having a lot more free time to devote to more blogging.  I still plan on continuing my “beat every mario in order” idea, but I think I need to start over again.  Instead of going over everything i’ll be doing, I am going to just briefly update the blog as I do it.  Once I get caught up, I will go into further details on my quests through the mushroom kingdom.  Expect a lot more activity in the coming weeks on this blog.  I have a lot I want to talk about!!

Newt Gingrich is hinting at a 3rd Party in 2012 :Opinion

NewtPolitico  has just released an article based on an interview with Newt Gengrich.  This is an interesting change of stance from one of the most loyal and vocal of the GOP.  It is no secret that the republican party is in disarray.  The Reagan era of smaller government and less spending is over.  It appears now that both parties are in favor of increased government programs, spending, and intervention.  Gengrich quoted, “During the period I was speaker, the U.S. government – for four years – total growth was 2.9 percent a year. Under Bush, it was 6.1 percent. … This year, I think it will be 36 percent in one year.”  This is astronomical.  Even under the Bush administration growth is absurd, but 36% is unsustainable.

The republican part is in a very large predicament.  As people become more and more moderate on social issues, fiscal policy becomes a key issue in retaining party loyalty.  If the party of Lincoln and Reagon cannot reorganize itself and become the voice and body for fiscal and economic responsibility then it will surely die.  Tempers have flared.  There are many “movements” for change and if  each of these movements could be organized into one voice, there may be a viable 3rd-party candidate on the ticket in 2012.

On wednesday March 4th, the Dallas Cowboys tumultuous relationship with the infamous wide receiver Terrell Owens Came to an end.  This ends three seasons of drama and entertainment in Dallas.  Terrell Owens lead the league in touchdown passes during his three year stint with the cowboys.  Apparently the off the field drama and locker room mayhem lead to the wide receivers release.

We will have more updates as they develop.
