mygallons.com – lock in your gas prices
1 Jul 2008
Honestly, I’ve seen this coming for sometime. I should have thought about it sooner though. Like all other energy companies, mygallons.comis changing the way gasoline is purchased. recently, many electric companies have been allowing customers to ‘lock in’ on a certain price for KwH. Now, mygallons.com is allowing customers to lock-in their gas prices. It seems like a decent deal, especially since the introductory rate is only 3.50 a gallon. The mygallons card is also accepted by a ton of companies including shell, chevron, bp, and all the other major and minor gas stations. A complete list of gas stations is here.
I honestly think this is a great idea. I think this is going to be happening more and more. I wouldnt be surprised if some of the major oil companies start offering something similar. I mean why wouldnt a company want to take a chunk of your money now and invest it? it’s better than getting it a little bit at a time.
What do you think?
